This depends on a few things: -if you are flying with the same airline, if you are not, then you will need to pickup bags, check in again, and go through security again. -if you are changing terminals, if you are then you will have to change and go through security again -and how much time you have, you do not want to be pressed for time!!! have a good trip!

they can be if they are happening: 1. Quick (Allow yourself plenty of time between connections... 1 hr. or 90 mins. is plenty) 2. At peak time (Connections around 10 am, noon, and 3 pm can take some extra time) In ATL, changing terminals does not happen, they are all connected beyond the secure area by a tram... the tram will take you between stations and you will not need to pass through security again...
