Need help with itinerary. Flying into Ft Lauderdale Fl. 1/10/07.Going to Orange Bowl 1/13/07. Should I stay?
in Ft Lauderdale or Miami? Also,may go to Spring Hill to visit friends and then return home. Shoulld I rent a car, take a bus etc.. Should I book a flight from Tampa back home? Is that the closest airport?

FLL is a dump of an airport. I would avoid it.

You should stay in the Hollywood or North Miami area and then you are perfectly between the two and also if you rent a car "off location" in Ft Lauderdale its way cheaper ( check out Thrifty on Miami Ave). Ft Lauderdale is the best airport coming and going. Much smaller than Miami and way less hectic. You can get through the lines much faster. Why Tampa? Way too far.
