50 minutes is nothing. Go have a drink, have something to eat then go find your gate. Believe me, 50 minutes is no time

At 50 minutes prior to departure, you only have about 20 minutes before boarding starts for a domestic flight. If you're going international (including Canada and Mexico) they'll be boarding in about 5 minutes. Assuming domestic travel, with about 20 minutes, enjoy your environment. What I mean is you're about to be stuck in a pressurized tube, sitting in an uncomfortable seat, and a kid with a big forehead kicking your back rest for 1-3 hours. Enjoy the relatively comfy concourse chair, go for a short walk (most airports have stores you can kill time in), listen to some music, just enjoy NOT being in the airplane. Have a safe flight

well, if it is a hub then you have a lot of things to do, like going to their bookstore grab a meal to eat, watching planes takeoff and land will give you a thrill 50 mnutes will seem like 30 if you are watching the planes take off and land, it catches your eyes in a trance. If you are not at a hub, then don't wonder off too far just get up and walk around every 10 minutes or so to fight the boredom.

You sit and wait and get really, really bored. To pass the time, you could maybe do some busking to raise the money to pay for your ticket?
